A well known kiwi fintech is on the look out for their next Senior .NET Developer (With fullstack skills as a bonus!). This role will be in the expansion products team, bringing new financial products to life from the ground up.

About the role

If you’ve been stuck in a rutt with your standard React SPA => C# API => SQL Server via EF and want something new and exciting to work on, this could be for you. 

This role is extremely fast paced, working on brand new products from the first line of code all the way to productionizing, then scaling up. If you’ve wanted to do something more innovative with your skills, this is the opportunity that could make that happen.  
 
What you will bring
 
You’ll be someone who has experience in C# first and foremost. Where that experience has taken you thus far isn’t going to make or break your application, as long as you are someone who wants to learn and get stuck in even if it isn’t your area of expertise. 
 
This role does really cut across the software development spectrum, so even if the front end isn’t your speciality, you’ll know a teeny tiny bit of React/Typescript. Maybe you’ll have deployed an environment or two using Terraform. Or maybe you’ve jumped in to Cloudwatch logs furiously using ChatGPT to make sense of what’s going on.
 
We know that these days, there can be a lot of boxes to tick with any job ad. Don’t stress it, if you aren’t sure, it never hurts to apply and have a chat!
 
You will need all/most/able-to-fake-it of :

• Experience building web applications in C# (MVC, Minimal APIs, Lambda/Azure Functions, take your pick!) 
• The basics of modern web development and design for mobile first. e.x. You only need to lookup that flexbox cheatsheet once a day instead of every hour (align-items vs justify-items, gah!)
• Solid understanding of database fundamentals. Schema design, query tuning, performance etc. 
• Experience building modern frontends using React. Knowing your React Router from your Tanstack Router from your NextJS Router would be handy too!

And some/none-but-willing-to-learn of :

• Any experience in the financial and or investing sector would be advantageous.
• An interest in Python (If not commercial, even at a hobby level) would be great. 
• Experience creating and managing infrastructure in AWS utilizing Terraform (Or another cloud/IaC, it’s all transferable!)
• Any experience with containers, from Docker to AWS ECS to Kubernettes, would be helpful. 

 
Additional information
 
This role is based in Auckland CBD. The role is not fully remote, but is very much onboard with flexible working arrangements.
