About the company
Our client is a well known Shopify app empowering merchants to drastically reduce the load on their customer support teams, all while generating a new revenue stream with pre and post checkout upsells.
These merchants are doing 7, 8, or even 9 figures on Shopify and aren’t your typical mom and pop stores. Our client is solving real ecommerce problems, at scale, worldwide.
And best of all? They are looking for someone who knows their Typescript (More than just slapping “any” everywhere) to come and join them on the journey.
About the role
This is not your usual 9 to 5 where you can phone it in and just scrape by. Our client is looking for someone hungry and eager to knock things out of the park, and be well remunerated with both salary and stock.
The role is part of a small (but growing) engineering team that takes care of everything from writing the core Shopify App in Typescript (Front and back), scaling infrastructure in AWS, maintaining CI/CD in Github Actions, and keeping performance as a core feature and not an after thought.
This role is fully remote (Preferred NZ or AU), and can be done from anywhere as long as you know your stuff and can get the work done.
What you will bring
Ideally you will be someone who has built and/or maintained a Shopify app before. Whether that’s your own side project, or as part of a larger corporate team. (If you have, include it in your CV/Cover letter!)
You will have a self starter mindset. You won’t need to have all your tickets sitting there waiting for you in Jira before you actually start doing work. If you have nothing to do, you are jumping into the logs and fixing performance issues, investigating annoying UX bugs in that specific version of Safari, or whipping up a quick POC for another revenue stream.
You will need all/most/able-to-fake-it of :
