Our client is looking to add to their Test Automation capabilities. While exploratory, blackbox, system, and regression testing are all great, the right fit for this role will really be onboard the Automation (Playwright/Typescript) train.
About the role
The organization is in need of both contract and permanent automation testers (You can take your pick!) to keep the wheels moving on multiple projects.
The role spans both manual and automated QA, but really needs the automation side to shine through. This will be across both web and mobile, front and backend. So everything from UI bugs, to API auth bypasses should be on your testing list.
The right candidate will bring with them a little bit of that end to end leadership too. It’s less about getting tossed something from the developers, testing, then throwing it back over the fence, and more about being involved all the way from early discovery all the way through to production monitoring.
What you will bring
You will have had a QA/Tester role that involved automation in the past. Preferably in Playwright/Typescript, but something like Cypress or Appium works too.
Even though you can bury your head in code, you still come up to do the boring stuff like defect tracking in TestRail or Jira, writing up test cases (For manual testing or to be automated later), and in general providing that little bit of “control” so that developers don’t go off the deep end.
A little bit of technical nouse such as experience with cloud systems like Azure/AWS, the ability to load up SQL Management Studio and do some basic SQL queries, or experience pouring through user logs to find common patterns in errors would be great too!
The ideal candidate will have a great attitude and never say “that’s not my job”.
